RANKEN ENERGY CORPORATION

Pinchout Extension Drilling Program

Introduction

Ranken Energy Corporation is pleased to announce our Pinchout Extension Drilling Program. This program is located in central Garvin County in south-central Oklahoma. (See Area Production Map

The Pinchout Extension Program is located north-northeast of the town of Elmore City, Oklahoma. The main objective of the project is the updip erosional pinchout of the porous Bois d’Arc Lime section of the Siluro/Devonian Hunton Lime. (See Bois d'Arc Isopach) Secondary objectives include the Sycamore, the basal Hunton Chimney Hill, and a porosity section at the top of the Viola Lime.

The project is located in an area that has had extensive drilling, especially to the south and west of our study area. It is located on the northeast flanks of the Antioch Southwest Gibson Sand Unit that has produced over 40 million barrels of oil and 5 BCF of gas since 1948, and the Elmore Northeast 3rd Deese Sand Unit that has produced nearly 19 million barrels of oil since 1951. The dense drilling for the Gibson or 3rd Deese sand has delineated the approximate updip pinchout edge of the Bois d’Arc Lime, a unit within the Hunton Lime. (See W-E Cross Section) This Bois d’Arc member of the Hunton is productive to the west, southwest, south, and southeast of the project over an approximate width of four miles. .

The uneroded Bois d’Arc Lime averages 70-80 feet in overall thickness until it comes in contact with the unconformity brought about by the Wichita Orogeny.

This program is supported by numerous maps, logs, detailed geologic information and economic analysis.  If you would like additional information, please contact us at the postal address or email address on our Contact page or phone 405-340-2363.
